Vimut Lung Health Center provides comprehensive care for respiratory diseases, emphasizing comprehensive services in all dimensions, from risk assessment, diagnosis, assessment of severity and stage of the disease, including assessment and monitoring, treatment by specialist doctors working in a multi-disciplinary approach, and rehabilitation and promotion of lung function in a one-stop service for the convenience of service recipients.

We offer:

• Screening of at-risk patients with lung function tests (Lung Function Test).
• Diagnosis by fiberoptic bronchoscopy (Flexible Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy).
• Treatment of diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease with drug-free treatment, and lung cancer treatment at each stage, including lung surgery, chemotherapy, radiation therapy, and targeted therapy.

We provide diagnosis of complex lung diseases, especially with the use of EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound) technology. This technology helps diagnose diseases accurately and quickly, allowing for more precise examination of lung tissue and lymph nodes in the chest without surgery. Patients experience less pain, recover quickly, and receive an accurate diagnosis for the most appropriate treatment plan. Currently, EBUS services are only available in a few leading medical schools and large private hospitals in Thailand.

Vimut Lung Health Center operates under the CHEST (Collaborated-Holistic-Excellence-Systematic-Treatments) concept. This concept focuses on rapid diagnosis and treatment that is consistent with the patient's context and covers all dimensions of lung and respiratory health through the collaboration of multidisciplinary physicians to plan individualized medicine for chronic or complex diseases and seamlessly link treatments. The services of the Lung Health Center cover:

• Examination and treatment of respiratory diseases such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), asthma, emphysema, chronic cough, and interstitial lung diseases.
• Screening for lung cancer and thoracic tumors (thoracic malignancy).
• Flexible Fiberoptic Bronchoscopy.
• Pulmonary Function Test using Spirometry.
• Treatment and monitoring of pulmonary infections, such as pulmonary tuberculosis, pneumonia caused by various viruses, bacteria, and fungi.

Treatment Equipment and Technology
The Lung Health Center at Vimut Hospital has modern and precise treatment equipment and technology for accurate diagnosis and treatment, as follows:

• EBUS (Endobronchial Ultrasound): A precise biopsy of lymph nodes in the chest without surgery, resulting in less pain and a faster recovery for patients.
• Flexible fiberoptic bronchoscope: A bronchoscope inserted into the bronchi to directly examine abnormalities in the respiratory tract.
• Ultrasound Peripheral Mini-probe: A bronchoscope to diagnose lung cancer in the bronchial branches using a Guide Sheath.
• Pulmonary Function Test (PFT): A lung function test for diagnosis and assessment of lung deterioration in patients with respiratory symptoms, such as chronic coughing, difficulty breathing, or shortness of breath; preparation for surgery that requires anesthesia; and patients at risk of developing respiratory diseases due to factors like e-cigarettes or certain occupations or recreational activities that affect lung function.
• High-resolution computed tomography of the chest (Chest CT-Scan): To detect abnormalities in the lungs and bronchi.
• Aerosol therapy, oxygen therapy, and home ventilators for patients with chronic respiratory disease.
• Negative pressure examination room: For diagnosing infectious diseases that have the potential to spread through the air (aerosol transmission).
• Pulmonary Rehabilitation: Pulmonary rehabilitation medicine to promote lung function in patients with chronic respiratory disease, in addition to medication or medical supplies, such as the use of prosthetics to increase lung capacity and eliminate sputum (lung expansion maneuver and airway clearance technique).

Symptoms Requiring a Respiratory Disease Specialist Consultation
You should consult a specialist if you have the following symptoms:

• Chronic cough for more than 3-8 weeks (sub-acute to chronic cough).
• Difficulty breathing or easier to get tired than usual (shortness of breath or breathing difficulty).
• Limitations in exercising or doing various activities, or during exercise (physical activity or exercise limitation).
• Chest pain while breathing.
• Chronic excessive phlegm production.
• Bloody phlegm production.
• Noisy breathing or wheezing.
• Snoring and witnessed sleep apnea.
• History of tobacco smoking, electronic cigarette smoking, or occupational exposure.
• Abnormal chest X-ray findings, such as spots, lumps, or pulmonary fibrosis.
